Wash and drain
1 cup of basmati rice
until the water no longer clouds up.
Then refill with fresh cold water and allow to soak for at least 1 hour.
1 1/2 cups of water
1 tsp salt
1 tsp butter.
Put the drained rice into the boiling water and stir only a few times with a wooden spoon. Boil shortly, reduce the heat to simmer and cover. Cook for about 15 minutes on very low heat, stir once again and let the rice sit for another 10 minutes before serving.
