====== Workbench ======

Cillian is doing woodwork in his Kindergarten and requested a Workbench for his 6th birthday. There was a proposal to buy one, but I thought that we could do better in building a proper one together. Time will tell the wisdom of this :)

==== Design ====
Stumbled on Roubo workbench projects from Christopher Schwarz, based on designs of [[wp>André_Jacob_Roubo]]. I will try and implement some version of this.

  * 3½ thick top
  * Recomended height - where your knuckles rub on surface (for me that is ~72cm) this allows you get your body mass over the part
  * "Dog holes" along length of bench to clamp boards on surface with some type of end clamp
  * "holdfast" iron clamp - bang down to hold, bang sideways to open.
  * 3/4" dog holes  (19mm)

3/4"(19mm) hole - Veritas Wonderdogs 110mm (Brass - wire spring to hold in place)
(wonderpup 60mm if bench is thinner than 2" - mine is bigger => wonderdog) Dog should be thicker than bench so you can push it up from below the bench

Need a hole all the way through the bench (else can use spring loaded "prairie dog")
